Actor Radhika Apte doesn’t like to mix her personal life with professional life. In fact, she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about her personal life publicly. So, when you ask her about her husband, British musician Benedict Taylor, who she married in 2012, she doesn’t say much. “I don’t like talking about it publicly. But if you want to know, then, we met when I was in London pursuing a course in contemporary dance,” she says.

“He is in London, I am in India, but we are managing. We meet now and then, either he comes here or I visit him,” she adds. But Radhika doesn’t mind talking about her work. And right now, she is “super-excited” to have bagged a film with Southern star Rajinikanth. “It is a rare opportunity to be working with him, as only three actresses from Bollywood have had a chance to work with him,” says the Badlapur actor.

Ask her if there is anyone else on her work wishlist, and she says, “I have never had a wishlist. I don’t think about who is with me in the film. I like to focus on what my role is, and the scope of performance that my role will allow. I like to add variety to my repertoire and that’s one of the things I keep in mind while choosing a role,” says the actor who’ll soon be seen in a Ketan Mehta directed movie.
