Actor Dhanush, who will be seen with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in his second Hindi film Shamitabh, has said that he is ready to experiment with roles in Bollywood because he has nothing to lose here.
Ask him why he was doing unconventional roles in Hindi films as opposed to his larger-than-life roles in southern cinema, and Dhanush says, “I have been trying to mix my characters as much as possible down south. But one image has stuck there, so I am restricted. In Bollywood, I have nothing to lose, so I experiment with my characters. I am thankful to Balki (director) who has given me this film.”
As for working with Big B, the actor says, “It’s an amazing experience to work with Amitabh. I don’t know if I have done enough work to deserve to be working with him. God has blessed me with this film.”
Actor Kamal Haasan’s daughter Akshara Haasan, who is making her debut with Shamitabh, says, “I really look up to Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush. But when we got on sets, they made me feel very comfortable, and made things easier for me.”
