Actor Salman Khan is not an easy catch for anyone, not even his younger brother Arbaaz Khan, who admits to having waited for years before the former gave him a date.
Arbaaz, who has doled out blockbusters such as Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012) starring Salman, says that it is relatively easy to work with him. "With Salman you need to have a one-two year wait to see if he is available to do the film. But once he comes on board, it’s obviously easy to work with him. We connect well and know what the other one wants. And it is not like you don’t go through your share of arguments but you work a way around it," says Arbaaz.
The actor-filmmaker finds it strange when people expect him to cast Salman in all his productions. "It is so stupid. Just because he is my brother does not mean that he has to be in every film of mine. It is not like he is hired by his family," says Arbaaz, adding, "There are subjects which don’t require him. I don’t want to misuse him or waste him in such a film. I don’t want to tell him ki
bhai ek scene ke liye aa jao
Meanwhile, the 47-year-old is on the lookout for interesting subjects for his further productions. "The audience has to find something fresh and new in the films which we give them. There has to be something interesting in the subject and the characterisations have to work. Once the viewers connect with the characters, then the film will also work," he says.
