Ameet Gaur was once a regular on the party circuit appearing at Page 3 bashes almost every alternate day. The model then disappeared from the scene and is now set to reappear as a movie star alongside John Abraham in Force. “You can’t make a career by socialising,” he points out. “It takes a lot more than networking for people to take you seriously. And there’s no replacement for commitment and hard work.”
The face of Raymond, Ameet points out that after modeling, acting doesn’t seem daunting at all :“I’ve been a movie buff since I was a kid. But the idea of becoming an actor grew on me over a period of time.”Force happened through a regular screen test. "I guess Vipul Shah (producer) and Nishikant Kamat (director) thought I could carry off the challenging role of a cop in their action thriller," he says.
Ameet who began modelling in early 2000 has even worked with John earlier. “I’ve known John for about nine years now, since he was a model. We always shared a rapport that has now grown into friendship,” he adds.
He met with an accident on the sets recently but insists it wasn’t because of his “inexperience as an actor”. He reiterates that accidents are common on the sets: “So many have been injured during action scenes, it’s not a big deal!"
