I’m a limelight moth, I enjoy the attention: Alia Bhatt
Actor Alia Bhatt says that she is not alien to media attention and she is used to it.
One would assume that constant media glare, especially on her relationship status with actor Sidharth Malhotra would faze a young actor like Alia Bhatt, but the 23-year-old reminds us of her lifelong tryst with the paparazzi.
“I grew up in a family with a famous father (filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt) who is always in the news. So, I’ve seen recognition and media attention from childhood. In the three years that I’ve been around, I’ve gotten used to it. It feels normal now. And honestly, I’d miss the attention if I didn’t get it,” says Alia.

But does it ever feel like violation of her private space? “It gets frustrating when I can’t go to certain places with my friends, or when I’m asked awkward questions when with family. But these are minor irritants. Because at the end of it all, I’m a limelight moth. I enjoy the attention. But I manage to create a balance between going public and staying private, even on social media,” says the actor, who is an Instagram regular.
