Not many know that

Ranveer Singh

is related to Anil Kapoor (through Kapoor’s wife, Sunita), who he idolises. Now, he is set to act with him. The two are currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s next.

"Yes, I am sharing screen space with him. He is the one who made me want to become an actor in the first place. I grew up in the mid-’80s and through the ’90s and, at that time, besides him, I also admired Govinda. I have just worked with Govinda (in Shaad Ali’s next). Immediately after, I am working with Anil sir," says Ranveer, who is currently in Spain.

The Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) actor admits that it’s really a big deal for him. "I don’t know how to describe it to people. I have no filmi background. I loved watching films and used to enjoy them so much that I decided to become an actor. I always observed these guys, and they inspired me. Now, I’m working with my idol," he says.

Ranveer

feels that the “most incredible part is the ensemble cast Zoya has managed to put together."

"In our cinema, it’s difficult to put together a very strong cast. But Zoya managed to do it in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), and in this film as well," says the actor, who is cast opposite his alleged ex-girlfriend, Anushka Sharma, in the movie.
