Actor Minissha Lamba, 26, has few busy days ahead of her as she gets ready to fly out to the Cannes Film festival. “There really aren’t words to describe how excited I am. To be on the same red carpet as the likes of Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Woody Allen is probably a once in a lifetime experience,” gushes Lamba.
She’s been invited to walk the red carpet on the festival’s opening night on May 11, for the premier of director Woody Allen’s much hyped film,
Midnight in Paris
“I’ve literally grown up watching his (Allen’s) films. I’m excited about seeing this movie, but I’m more excited about meeting him,” she says.
So, is this trip to the chic Parisian town a signal of her heading to Hollywood? “When something like that pans out, I’d be the first one to tell everyone about it. Right now, I’m just happy going as a guest,” says Lamba.
If not breaking into Hollywood, is she more engrossed in deciding her wardrobe? “I’m trying to decide whether I should dress Indian or Western,” she says. And considering how often Indian stars have been panned at the fest for their wardrobe choices, the pressure is indeed on for her.
