Actor Ranbir Kapoor wants to look like a 20-year-old, even though he’s 29, not because he is worried about turning 30 this year, but for his role in filmmaker Ayan Mukherji’s upcoming film.
“I am coming from the shoots of the film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, where I play a 20-year-old. I really worked hard on my looks. I got my left ear pierced and worked hard on the slim body. I am in love with the new look,” said the actor, who looked visibly thin at the launch of Panasonic new smart Viera range of television in the Capital recently.
Ranbir will share screen space with ex-flame, actor Deepika Padukone in the film, and he can’t stop praising his leading lady. “I am comfortable working with Deepika, as we are thorough professionals. We are working together after three years so I have seen growth in her acting as well as in her appearance,” he said.
Though he was seen cheering for Delhi Daredevils during their match opposite Kings XI Punjab in the Capital, being a true Mumbaiker, Mumbai Indians is Ranbir’s favourite IPL team. “Sachin Tendulkar is the Rockstar of IPL. If I have to relate players with my movies, then I would relate Rocket Singh to Harbhajan Singh, Bachna Ae Haseeno with Yuvraj Singh and Rajneeti with Lalit Modi,” he said.
