From Angelina Jolie to Hilary Swank — Hollywood stars have regularly been spotted at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. This year, however, an insider reveals that it will be none other than action star, Jean-Claude Van Damme, who will make a special appearance at the ceremony. Not just that, the Hollywood actor is also expected to announce his next big film at the awards show’s final event, which will take place on July 6 in Macau. “He will be seen at IIFA after a long time; he had last shared the stage with Salman Khan in 2006. We are glad that he has chosen this platform to announce his next movie,” says a source from the organisational
committee. Though Salman will be missing from the 14th edition of the show, Jean-Claude will take to the stage with Shah Rukh Khan on July 5.
The Expendables 2 actor arrived at The Venetian, Macau, on July 5, and before rushing to his room, he briefly reveals, “I am looking for two fresh Indian faces for my next film to be produced by Michel Adam of FTV. I am excited to be here. This is my second IIFA. Love you India. (sic)”
The awards ceremony finale will also feature performances by Madhuri Dixit, Prabhudheva, Arjun Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana, among others.
