She may have only three Hindi films to her credit, but Asin, 26, is determined to play a marathon innings in Bollywood. The actor has starred in films like Ghajini (2008), London Dreams (2009) and Ready (2011), and will soon be seen playing Santa on UTV Stars’ new show, Superstar Santa.
Asin, who celebrated New Year with her family in the hills of Kerala at her summer home talks about all things personal and professional.
On wearing a bikini
Housefull didn’t require me to wear bikini as it is a family-centric film. I’ll decide whether to wear one or not only when the times comes.
On playing Santa
It felt great to become Santa and spread positivity around. I’m glad I could help mend relationships that had gone sour.
On venturing into TV
I have done shows on television before but haven’t given small screen a serious thought yet. I have just started out and there is a lot to do.
On Hollywood plans
Right now, I just want to concentrate on my work in Bollywood.
On relationship status
I am single at the moment and looking for the love of my life.
Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2 and Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan are my upcoming projects. It was fun working with actors Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in Housefull 2 and I am currently dubbing for this movie. In Bol Bachchan, I have Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan as my co-stars and we have completed one schedule.
On friends in Bollywood
I have no issues with anyone as I am quite a secure person. I believe two people cannot become the best of buddies in Bollywood. The people you spend time with changes with every film and that leaves very little time for strong bonds to develop.
