Although she calls herself a part-time professional and a full-time mom, actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra says she has a lot of respect for women who sacrifice their careers for their children. “A lot of women give up their careers for their children as their children take precedence. I have a lot of respect for those women. Some women don’t have that choice and balance their family and their work. It’s your personal choice. It also depends on how much you can do. I made a choice to be part time professional and a full time mom,” says Shilpa.

The actor, who will be judging dance reality show , says that she is constantly thinking about her four-year-old son Viaan despite being busy at work. “You can’t switch off. That is the most challenging part of being a mother. I might be sitting here but I am thinking about what my son doing. Is he building Lego or getting ready for his class. Wherever you are, you are thinking of your child. The most beautiful part of being a mother is that the love is unconditional,” she says.

The 41-year-old also has a production house along with her husband Raj Kundra and says she is able to multitask because of the support of her family. “The most important job is of me being a mother. That is a full time job. The rest is incidental and keeps coming and going. I feel privileged and lucky to be able to do so much. My husband is encouraging me constantly and my son is supportive. That’s how we balance out. This is the best phase of my life,” she says.
