Highlight Story

Actor Deepak Tijori, 51, who played actor Rahul Roy’s friend in the 1990 hit Aashiqui, says it would’ve been nice if filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt had cast him in the remake too.

“I’m looking forward to watch the film as I’m sure it’ll be wonderful. But I really wish that Bhatt saab had cast me for some part,” says Deepak. The actor, who is directing the film, Rock In Love, adds: “I keep talking about Aashiqui to my actors. There are characters, which are friends, something what I did in Aashiqui and I give them (actors) examples. So Aashiqui is something that is always going to live with me.”

Directed by Mohit Suri, Aashiqui 2 stars Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, and will release on May 10.
