Former wrestler and Australian actor Nathan Jones, who is best known for his role in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), is looking forward to the release of his maiden Bollywood film — A Flying Jatt.
“I was in Thailand when a fight coordinator got in touch with me for the role. I found the opportunity interesting. After reading the script, I felt it would be good for me, as an actor, to be part of this film,” says Nathan.
The actor adds that he enjoyed working with Tiger in the movie. “Tiger is well-trained, and he’s athletic as compared to the Hollywood actors (I have done films with). I had to work hard to make them look good. Tiger made my job easy,” says the 47-year-old, who plays the antagonist in the film.
The movie has been directed by Remo D’souza. Ask Nathan if he will be seen dancing in the film, and he says, “I will leave that to Tiger, who is a good dancer. I sometimes dance by myself. When I was younger, I used to go to clubs and dance there. People used to smile seeing me dance considering my size (he is 7ft). But I’m not a bad dancer for a big guy.”
The actor, who has primarily been part of action films, says he makes sure he doesn’t hurt his co-actors while doing stunts and action sequences.
“I hit Tom Hardy a bit too hard once, but he survived (laughs). Tom and I had a scene together in Mad Max: Fury Road, and we were doing it over and over again. He was actually punching me, and after six-seven takes, he hit me again. I had this adrenaline rush and I hit him back, a bit too hard. He fell on the ground. After putting an ice pack on his face, he said, ‘I felt like I was in a pub and I took on the wrong guy’ (laughs),” says Nathan.
