Actor-producer Anil Kapoor, has a long association with Delhi. On his visit to Gurgaon, Kapoor said, “ My parents settled in Delhi, after migrating from Pakistan. My
childhood was spend here and even after I shifted to Mumbai, I would keep coming back to the city as my sister is married here and many of our relatives are in Delhi. You can call me a Mumbai-Delhi person.”
Like all lovers of the city, Anil Kapoor also had his favourite hang out zones that included areas such as Rajendra Nagar and Karol Bagh. He adds, “ I have been to all the popular areas in Delhi. Chandni Chowk, Shankar Road, Pandara Road are some of the other favourites for the feel of these places. I have spent my childhood in these alleys and seen the city developing.”
Kapoor says that he knows a lot about the Capital which the younger generation is not aware of. “I have started my journey from scratch and have seen Delhi when there were no malls and buildings. I have travelled and stayed at those places where there were no bathrooms and homes. There would be streets and nalas where kids used to defecate in open. So, that’s the time I know Delhi from.”
