He may not be a superstar yet, but Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi is quite content with the way his career is turning out. He would love to be a superstar, but is not ready to compromise his peace of mind for it.
“I’m absolutely happy with my work. I do want to be a superstar, but on my terms. That’s how I have always worked. I like working at my own pace,” says Joshi, who is known for his roles in movies such as 3 Idiots, Life In A Metro, and Golmaal.
Sharman, who will soon be seen sharing space with the evergreen beauty Rekha in Super Nani, adds, “When people ask me if I am getting my due in the industry, I realise that they probably want to see more of me and it’s out of their love for me that they ask me this question. That gives me happiness. However, I feel that I have had a great journey and am in a happy space. I have done some substantial work. I love my profession.”
But there is something about this filmy business that he is still getting used to —the promotions. “I’m still not very comfortable with this whole exercise of promotional tours, but I’m getting used to it. I’m more of an introvert, while my wife is outgoing,” smiles Sharman, who is married to Prerana, daughter of veteran actor Prem Chopra.
