I want to do massive ‘masala’ movies: Alia Bhatt
The Student of the Year star is currently shooting for Abhishek Burman’s comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya with Varun Dhawan.
After watching her intense films like Highway and Udta Punjab, if you think Alia Bhatt will turn into a realistic-movie actor, then you are absolutely wrong as she has revealed that she wants to taste every possible genre, including “massive masala movies.”

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the 23-year-old actor said, “I want to make this very clear. I don’t want to be one of those actors who is identified with one genre of cinema. Of course, I want to do realistic films, but I also want to do films that are completely the opposite. I want to do massive masala movies.”

While speaking about her last rom-com Shaandaar, Alia said, “I want to do an out-and-out comedy where I get to try out my comic timing. People feel that Shaandaar was a comedy movie of mine, but I never saw the film as comedy.”
The Student of the Year star is currently shooting for Abhishek Burman’s comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya with Varun Dhawan. This happens to be the second movie for Alia in Karan Johar’s ‘Dulhaniya’ franchise. “It’s like a family reunion. Trust me, apart from the same faces, there’s no similarity between Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath. It’s interesting to be a part of a love franchise; we’ve never had that before,” she said.
