We’ve always talked about the Khans and the incredible fees that they have commanded in Bollywood. This time, however, it’s not about the big three — Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir.

As the new generation takes up the leading man’s mantle in Hindi cinema, a Khan is still at the forefront. We’re talking about Imran Khan, who, for his upcoming film, is taking home a cool paycheque of Rs 11 crore.

With successful films like Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na (2008), I Hate Luv Storys (2010), Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and more recently Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) to his credit, Imran has managed to become an in-demand actor.

Besides, at 30, he has also built a bit of reputation as a youth icon.

And having grown with each film, Imran’s pay packet has also grown significantly. Now, for next film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again (OUATIMA), the actor has commanded a price of Rs 11 crores that’s quite astounding for a young actor.

Imran has not only delivered hits in mainstream cinema, but also dabbled in offbeat cinema like Delhi Belly (2011).

“Imran’s career has seen steady growth thanks to his fan following. His next big release is Milan Luthria’s OUATIMA that also stars Akshay Kumar. Imran is paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha in the film. The figure he is believed to be earning is Rs 11 crore,” says a source close to the actor.

The young Khan has a whole list of other films lined up next. This includes Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein with Kareena Kapoor and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies with Priyanka Chopra. When contacted, Imran and his spokesperson did not wish to comment.
