Actor to shoot in Bengaluru for the first time; will show wife around too.

That Imran Khan was born in the US is a fairly well-known fact, but not many people know that he studied at a boarding school in Bengaluru. That explains the actor’s excitement over visiting the city for an upcoming schedule of director Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.

“When Imran learned that his next schedule for Punit’s film would be in Bengaluru, he was very happy. He will be flying down to the city three days before the shoot to revisit all the places that he grew up in and shares a special connection with,” says a source close to the actor.

Ecstatic as he is, Imran is also taking wife Avantika along to show her around the city, “This will be the first time he will be shooting in Bengaluru,” adds the insider.

Ask Imran about the trip and he replies, “I have spent a lot of my childhood in Bengaluru and thus the city will always be very special to me.”

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is a comedy film in which Kareena Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will playing the leads opposite Imran.
