In between TV and films: Purab Kohli does double shifts to meet deadlines
It’s twice the work for actor Purab Kohli as he tries to wrap up his film and television commitments.
All this while, actor Purab Kohli stayed away from television because he wasn’t sure he could manage with films. But now, the actor has figured out a way to juggle both. The actor shoots for one project in the morning and the other, at night.
“When you are involved with a TV show, your dates get really flooded. I was always wary of this and hence stayed away from TV, but Nikhil’s (filmmaker Nikhil Advani who is now directing a show, an adaptation of an Israeli TV series) show was too good to resist. I am trying my best to accommodate the timing between the show and my films,” says Kohli, who is also working in a film directed by Sunhil Sippy.

The actor, who has been part of films such as I AM (2011), Fatso! (2012) , Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Airlift (2016), has an efficient team, which is trying its best to help him work smoothly.
“My managers are spending a lot of time discussing dates with the schedulers of the different things I am involved with. As hectic as it sounds, I am really enjoying these projects and love the way they are turning out. Once they release, and if the audience enjoys it then that will be a worth all the hard work,” says the actor.
