While Salman Khan has performed many high-octane action scenes in the past, hewill be seen indulging in rare hand-to-hand combat in his next film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Salman will play a person who comes from a wrestler’s family, and hence, there won’t be any use of weapons. “Salman’s action sequences in all his previous films have been larger than life. His role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan is more earthy and grounded, and keeping that in mind, the action sequences, too, have been kept earthy. There are hand-to-hand combats that are really exciting,” says Amar Butala, COO, Salman Khan Films and co-producer of the movie.
The 49-year-old actor got this sequence incorporated especially for his fans who love to watch him perform stunts. What’s interesting is that Salman designed the sequence keeping in mind the overall feel of the character and the film.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is produced by Salman and Rockline Venkatesh. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is slated for an Eid release on July 17.
