September doesn’t seem like the best of times for our actors as many are suffering injuries while shooting.

Abhishek Bachchan

When:

September 14

Abhi met with an accident on the sets of his upcoming film, Bol Bachchan, in Jaipur. The 35-year-old, who injured his right eye and sustained a deep gash above the eye while performing a stunt for the Rohit Shetty film, had to fly back to Mumbai the same day. He even posted about his injury on Twitter saying, “Had a fall whilst filming a small action sequence in Jaipur. Have come back to Mumbai now and will resume work at the earliest... I will be fine. Can’t say the same for the rickshaw!!! Banged him up good.” He has recovered now and has joined back for the shoot of the film in Jaipur.

Rana Duggabati
When: September 11
Daggubati, who made his debut in Bollywood with the film Dum maro dum, got injured while shooting for one of the action scenes in Ram Gopal Varma’s Department. The 26-year-old injured his knees and bruised his shoulder while shooting in a steel factory on the outskirts of Mumbai. He was supposed to jump over few boxes, but missed his steps and fell directly on his knees. “The timing of the jump went wrong and I fell directly on my knees. My right knee felt the impact, due to which even the knee cap I wore broke,” Rana was quoted as saying. After resting for a week at his home in Hyderabad, Rana has resumed the shoot in Mumbai.

Vivek Oberoi
When: September 19
Oberoi injured his back while shooting for Vinod Bachchan’s upcoming film, Zilla Ghaziabad. Vivek’s accident happened at Mahabaleshwar when he fell while doing a stunt scene as the harness slipped. The 35-year-old had to return to Mumbai the very next day. “Vivek is someone who is known to do his own stunts ever since he began his career with the film, Company. Even for his upcoming film, Krrish, he has beefed up, which led to a muscle-pull in his back. When he fell while shooting, he hurt his back,” reveals a source. The actor has now recovered from the injuries and has joined back to the shoot.

Amitabh Bachchan
When: September 21
Big B suffered an injury in his ribs while shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s film, Department, in Mumbai on Wednesday. The 68-year-old, who was last seen in Prakash Jha’s recent film, Aarakshan, posted on Twitter about the same saying, “A minor incident on set during semi action sequence...got hit on chest rib cage, some damage inside, pain on breathing, bearable!” He also added, “will repair on its own said doc.” Surprisingly, the actor did not tell anyone on the sets about the injury and continued shooting.
