Shahid Kapoor’s busy schedule doesn’t allow him to go on vacations very often. But, over the past couple of years, he has travelled to several new places because of his films. A source says that he has been exploring new places with every new movie.
While shooting for film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj’s critically acclaimed movie, Haider (2014), Shahid enjoyed exploring Jammu & Kashmir. The film was shot in places like Pahalgam, Anantnag, Srinagar and Sonmarg, among others.
Recently, Shahid travelled to various parts of Punjab while shooting for his next, which has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Since most parts of the movie were shot around Amritsar, Shahid apparently explored the city, and also visited the Golden Temple.
Also, for his upcoming film, which also stars Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan, Shahid recently visited Arunachal Pradesh, where the second-last schedule of the movie is being shot. “Shahid visited the state for the first time, and he fell in love with it. He was mesmerised by its natural beauty,” says the source,
adding that Shahid now wants to visit the state with his family. The actor couldn’t be reached for a comment.
