After the success of Bol Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan's happy being part of the Rs 100 crore club, adds he has no time for a vacation now.
The benchmark these days is to have a film in the Rs 100 crore club. How does it feel to be part of it?
Someone please give me the address to this club. I'd love to go and have a drink there. Hundred crore is a mark, just like a 'golden jubilee' used to be. It feels fantastic, I feel honoured. I'm just happy that the audiences have loved my work and the film. Despite the number of hits you have, you're always judged by your last release. You can't rest on past laurels, as that makes you complacent. That is the nature of the business; you need to deliver again and again.
Have you planned a party or a vacation to celebrate the success?
No, I'll just be getting back to work with Dhoom:3. The biggest celebration is to be in front of the camera. In fact, I don't have time for vacations. We are now going to Chicago to shoot a long spell for Dhoom 3.
Is it true that Farah Khan has signed you for Happy New Year?
Farah and Shah Rukh are dear friends, but I haven't signed Happy New Year. Years ago, she had casually mentioned the film to me, but since then, we haven't officially spoken about it.
Are you looking forward to working with Aamir Khan, who is also believed to be a friend, in Dhoom 3?
It would be presumptuous of me to call Aamir a friend! He's a senior, and I have huge respect for him. Dhoom is a great franchise and it would be wonderful to reprise my role as ACP Jai Dixit.
Are you consciously not signing any new films?
It's not that I am not signing any films. For now, I am just concentrating on Dhoom 3. I am completely consumed with it.
What's happening with Dostana 2, after rumours of a fallout between directors Tarun Mansukhani and Karan Johar?
Those rumours are untrue. There is no problem between them. Last I checked, I was told Tarun was still working on the script. Dostana 2 is happening.
