Both of actor Jackie Shroff and wife Ayesha’s children seem to have found their calling in the movie industry.

The trailer launch of their son Tiger’s debut film

Heropanti

took place at a star-studded event on April 5

And now, we’ve learnt of their daughter Krishna’s involvement in the film-making side of things too. She is co-producing a documentary that will showcase the problems faced by the transgender community in India.

"Our crew from Dubai has already arrived in Mumbai for the shoot. We are meeting and speaking to several people from the community here with the intent of showing the difficulties they face,” says Krishna, who is co-producing the yet-untitled documentary with Supriya Shrinivasan and the project’s director, Reshel Shah Kapoor.

“We are planning to release it across theatres in India by January next year. This documentary is based on an intense subject, but it will catch people’s attention,” she adds.

While speaking to us about her inclination towards socially relevant movies, she says, “My interest lies in documentaries and making films on real topics…on things that are happening in our country. And I believe today’s audience is open to such films.”

Her future plans, however, do include working in

Bollywood.

“I’ll start assisting renowned directors in the near future. I will also direct my own film. It will be announced when the time comes,” adds Krishna.
