Jacqueline Fernandez has never been part of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap or director-turned-actor Karan Johar’s past or upcoming projects. However, she has taken it upon herself to ensure that the duo has a pleasant time in her native country, Sri Lanka.

A source close to Anurag and Karan, who are shooting for Bombay Velvet in the island country, says the filmmakers got in touch with the actor to help them discover unexplored nooks and corners there. “The team is having a great time as Jacqueline is there to guide them while they shoot for the film in her home country,” says an insider from the project. The makers of the film, which has Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead, have roped in Karan to play the main antagonist.

The unit has had a long schedule in Sri Lanka as they have to shoot major portions of the film there. “Though Jacqueline has been occupied with her professional commitments here in India, she stays in constant touch with Karan and updates him on the hottest places to visit, the best restaurants and Sri Lanka’s must-visit attractions,” says a source close to Jacqueline, who is getting ready for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick.

When contacted Jacqueline confirmed the development. She says, “I was really excited to hear that the Bombay Velvet crew was shooting in Sri Lanka and wished KJo and team a good stay.”
