John Abraham’s Kala Ghoda was said to be stalled indefinitely after he decided to not act in the film, but produce it instead.

Now, Kunaal Roy Kapur, who plays one of the lead characters in the film, reveals that it is back on track. “It’s happening; and we are going to start shooting for the film by June end or early July,” says Kapoor.

The film is a psychological thriller, which is going to be directed by Aditya Bhattacharya. John was originally supposed to play one of the leads, but that fell through as Shootout At Wadala and Madras Café blocked his dates completely.

The actor, however, is producing the film with Anurag Kashyap. John is looking for a fresh face to replace him in the film. “They are yet to finalise someone for the role. But it will be done before we start shooting. This character is integral to the film,” says Kunaal.

The makers are also yet to finalise the female lead for the film.
