John Abraham to star in Aankhen sequel
John Abraham will star in the second instalment of the 2002 thriller Aankhen, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Akshay Kumar. The director also plans to rope in Big B for the sequel, though he did not confirm.bollywood Updated: Jul 28, 2014 11:34 IST
It seems John Abraham is on a sequel-signing spree. After giving his nod to a sequel to Anees Bazmee’s 2007 film Welcome, he has teamed up with the film-maker onanother project.
John will star in the second instalment of the 2002 thriller Aankhen, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Akshay Kumar.
"Anees and John met recently to discuss the subject of the film. Bazmi is currently working on the film’s script and it will be completed it in two months. In the next meeting, he will narrate the script to John and they will also discuss John’s character at length," says an insider.
However, when contacted, Bazmi chooses not to divulge details about the film, "I am working on the script. All I can say is that the cast will include some big names."
Meanwhile. we’ve also heard that the film-maker has approached Bachchan for the sequel. The director plans to narrate the film’s script to the veteran actor and hopes to have him on board, too.
"Who wouldn’t want to have Amitabh Bachchan in his film? I am giving my 100 percent to impress him. I am hoping he will be part of the sequel," says Bazmi.
