John Abraham is set to take his reel-life avatar a step forward. The hunky actor is holding a special screening of his film Force for the narcotics department today at Fun Republic, Andheri. For the uninitiated, John plays ACP Yashwardhan, who is among the four brave officers of the narcotics department who are on a mission to burst a dangerous drug racket.

John felt that he should arrange for a special screening of his film as he had got a lot of help from real officers of this department for his role.

When contacted, Yashodhan Wanage, zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau, expressed satisfaction with the film. He says, “We are happy with the way the narcotics department has been portrayed in the film. The operations shown are all accurate and real. Plus, the partment has been shown in a positive light.”

For his role, John spent about two months researching the subject of drug dealings, their locations and how the legal system functions. He also met a senior narcotics officer who helped him prepare for the role.
