The release date of Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 has been announced (29th September 2017) but the female leads are yet to be confirmed.
However, the latest buzz suggests that Parineeti Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz have been roped in for the sequel to David Dhawan’s 1997 comedy film Judwaa, that starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha in leading roles.
The Badlapur actor, who will be seen in a double role, will be romancing both ladies, according to Super Cinema.
While Varun has previously worked with Ileana in Main Tera Hero, he had performed on Judwaa’s hit track Tan Tana Tan with Pari during the Dream Team tour in the US. Parineeti has also done an item number in his recent release, Dishoom.
It was earlier speculated that Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez or Kriti Sanon might romance Varun in the much-anticipated sequel to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by David Dhawan.

In an interview with HT Cafe, Varun had earlier said that he and his father were planning to go to Salman Khan, who starred in the original, once the script was ready.

“Once the script is locked, I think the first person who is going to hear it will be Salman bhai. Dad and I will go. I would like to do that out of respect for Salman bhai. It will also be beneficial for me to learn about his experience of working on the movie. That will be great for us,” said the actor.
