After a close-knitted Sikh wedding in Chandigarh, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech solemnised their Hindu wedding at the beachside on Friday and it was nothing short of a star-studded affair. The wedding and after party was attended by guests including Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh, and other celebs such as actors Bruna Abdullah, Nora Fatehi, Rannvijay, Aashish Choudhary, Angad Bedi among others.
Ditching the conventional horse, Yuvi made a rocking entry on an ATV scooter that turned out to be the high point of the baraat. Former Bigg Boss contestant Nora Fatehi who’s been friends with Yuvi and Hazel for last 2 years says, “It was an amazing day and night full of love. I was from Yuvi’s side and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the baaraat. It was a perfect celebration from how the couple looked to how everyone partied.”
Super happy on her son’s wedding, an excited Shabnam Singh shares, “Goa wedding was a very chilled out and relaxed affair. Yuvi had different ideas, which everyone loved. He made a very emotional speech about women and he broke down while talking about me and how I took care of him. He also appreciated all the people who came to be part of his special day.”
“When Yuvi was giving his speech for Hazel, he got a bit teary eyed, which was so sweet. You can tell how much they loved each other and he promised to take care of Hazel,” adds Nora.
While many would have expected the Goa wedding to be modern, it was rather a surprise to see Hazel looking stunning as she entered in a full traditional Banarasari saree designed by Ashley Rebello. Talking of her daughter-in-law, mommy Shabnam adds, “She’s just so lovely. She is doing everything in traditional way and she loves it too. She is so much fun. Their family pandit had flown from Mauritius to perform the rituals.”
Amid the venue that was done up so beautifully, a source reveals that everyone danced non-stop during the cocktail. Putting all speculations to rest, cricketer Virat Kohli attended the wedding with actor Anushka Sharma and they just stole the show. “Virat and Anushka danced all night and mingled with everyone. There was a point when they were on stage with Hazel, Yuvi and his mom, and they started dancing. It was so much fun to watch,” reveals a source.
The newly married couple will now have a sangeet ceremony in Delhi on December 5 and a gala reception on December 7 that is likely to be attended by many top politicians and who’s who from Bollywood fraternity too.
