Veteran actor-writer Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz, is set to get a boost in Bollywood, as director Prabhudheva has signed him on for his next film. “I play the role of a villain in the movie,” confirms Sarfaraz, who made his acting debut with a blink-and-miss role in Hey Ram back in 2000.

Since then, he has done many small roles in films like Tere Naam (2003), Black Friday (2004), Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Wanted (2009).

Called Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya, Sarfaraz’s upcoming movie will also mark the debut of Girish Taurani, son of producer Kumar Taurani of Tips. While most of the film has already been shot, the makers just need to film one last song.

“My character is quite important in the film,” says Sarfaraz, talking about his role. “I play the part of an extreme introvert, who keeps everything bottled up inside, until one fine day, when he just lashes out.” The production is set to hit theatres on June 7 this year.

Meanwhile, the actor reveals that he is also playing a significant role in Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again. “I am Dawood’s (played by Akshay Kumar) trusted right-hand man, Chota Rajan in the film,” says an excited Sarfaraz.
