Kalki back from honeymoon!

The cast and crew of My Friend Pinto have been busy promoting their film for the last few days. But lead actor Kalki Koechlin had been missing from the scene. And interestingly, the reason for her absence from the bandwagon has been her much-delayed and much-spoken-of honeymoon.
“Yes, I came back from my honeymoon a few days ago,” says Kalki with a smile, when asked about her nonappearance. For the uninitiated, Kalki married filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in April, but due to back-to-back film commitments with the recent release of Shaitan and That Girl in Yellow Boots, the two couldn’t make time to go for their vacation.
“We finally squeezed in a few days for our honeymoon between That Girl In Yellow Boots and My Friend Pinto,” laughs Kalki, adding that their marriage life is so far, so good, adding, “I think we get the right amount of time with each other.”
Meanwhile, both of them are busy with their respective careers. “So whenever we get time, it’s fresh and new. In fact, whenever we see each other, we are the happiest,” says the young actor, who plays Michael Pinto’s (Prateik) love interest Maggie, a wide-eyed, innocent girl in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production.
“We shot the entire film at night. Actually, the story takes place in one night. So, we ended up shooting most of our scenes at 5 am. In fact, Raaghav (director Raaghav Dar) would come and say, chalo, it’s a happy moment in film. So, get all chirpy,” she says.
Furthermore, she informs that producer Bhansali hardly came on the sets of the film. “It’s very easy for a person of his stature to meddle in work and constantly interfere, but he didn’t do any such thing. He wanted the film to be Raaghav’s,” she says.
But whenever he did visit, Kalki spent a lot of time bonding with him. “He helped me a lot while shooting a song picturised on me and Prateik. Since he is fantastic with music and choreography, he brought his playfulness and magic to it. That was the only time he was on the sets,” she says.
