After claiming that she “did black magic” on his son, Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman hit back at Kangana Ranaut again saying she deserves a National Award for her recent interview to NDTV.
Rising to his son’s defence Shekhar Suman said, “For her interview after winning the National award she deserves another National award. She made all sorts of wild insinuations. But we’re not intimidated by her awards or her interviews. My family has gone through enough.”
Kangana lashed out at her critics in an interview with the TV channel the day she got the National Award for her superlative dual act in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Speaking to the channel, Kangana claimed she was “ok” being called a ‘witch’ because that’s how society labels successful and independent women. “If a woman is super successful, she is called a psychopath. If a woman is sexually active, she’s called a whore. I don’t find it humiliating when they call me a psychopath or witch,” she said in the interview.
The reference to Adhyayan Suman’s interview where he spoke about his former girlfriend performing strange pujas involving menstrual blood is not lost.
When asked what Shekhar and his family would do if Kangana hits back legally, he retorted: “We shall fight her with those very weapons that she uses against us. Lohe ko loha hi kaat ta hai (only iron can cut iron).”
As for her allegation that efforts are being made to destroy her, Shekhar said: “She doesn’t need help for that. What you give to the world comes back to you.”
Earlier, Shekhar had said in an interview, “I called family’s panditji and they (the priests) confirmed that Adhyayan was hypnotised. From his eyes it seemed either he was a drugged or was under the influence of someone.”
Adhyayan was dragged in the ongoing bitter public spat between Kangana and Hrithik when he chose to speak about his relationship with the Tanu Weds Manu star. Hrithik sent her a legal notice, demanding an apology for allegedly referring to him as her “silly ex” in an interview. “Since quite sometime you (Kangana) have been insinuating and trying to create an image within the film industry through print and social media and in public at large that there was some relationship between our client (Hrithik) and you,” the notice sent by Hrithik’s advocate Deepesh Mehta on February 26 said.
In her 21-page reply on March 1, Kangana’s lawyers said, “She is not some dim-witted teenager who has been smitten and that whatever happened between the two of them was with full consent of both parties. It is pertinent to record that your client throughout supported my client and fully involved her. He also did not make any attempt to block her. There is no communication from him to my client objecting to an emails. This proves that he received the emails with his participation and consent.”
