Amitabh Bachchan was in coma for weeks after the Coolie accident.

Two stuntmen died while shooting for Kannada film Maastigudi in Ramanagara district near Bengaluru on Monday.

The accident was caught on camera. Stunt artists Anil and Uday jumped off a helicopter into the Tippagondanahalli lake from a height of about 50 feet and drowned in it.

Kannada actor Duniya Vijay also jumped after them and was rescued by a fisherman later while trying to swim ashore.

Monday’s isn’t the first incident where somebody died on the sets of a film.

Here we list some of the films where actors or stuntmen died or gravely injured during shooting.

Coolie (1983): None other than superstar Amitabh Bachchan met with a deadly accident on the sets of Coolie when Puneet Issar punched Bachchan and the actor collided with a table. Big B spent weeks in coma.

Kolilakkam (1980): Former naval officer and Malayalam film actor Jayan was killed during the shoot of Kolilakkam in Sholavaram near Chennai. Known for his daredevil stunts, Jayan was trying to board an airborne helicopter from a running motorbike.

The Expendables 2 (2012): Severe fire broke on the sets of The Expendables 2 when the team was shooting for its climax in Bulgaria. The fire became big within minutes and a stuntman got trapped in it. The stunt expert of the Chinese origin couldn’t be rescued. None of the lead actors of the film, though, were injured.

Shootout At Wadala (2013): In a bizarre incident, Anil Kapoor accidentally fired a bullet which grazed past John Abraham’s neck. The unit resumed shooting soon after.
