Filmmaker Karan Johar is so impressed with director Anand Gandhi’s work in the film, Ship of Theseus, that he feels inferior as a filmmaker and says he lacks the talent and strength to make such a film.“It makes you feel very inferior as a filmmaker, it’s that brilliant. It is such a film which I can’t make as I neither have the talent nor strength to make such a beautiful film,” says Karan, who attended a special screening of the film, organised by Kiran Rao. Karan’s last directorial was Bombay Talkies — a film consisting of four different stories by four different directors. Heaping praises on Gandhi, Karan, 41, adds that Ship of Theseus is a “rare film that has made him speechless. I haven’t seen a film like this in last five-six years. Anand Gandhi has made the film from his heart.”Premiered at the 12th Toronto International Film Festival, the film explores various aspects of life through three different characters from different walks of life. It is releasing on July 19.
