Apparently, the yet-untitled film adaptation which will be shot in the Colombian cities of Bogota, Cali and Cartagena, and will show the leading man as a gigolo (Ranveer
was shown as a con artist) in the Spanish version.
“Colombian film audiences have started to ask for further film genres beyond violence and social dramas. Romantic comedies are an answer. It is only a matter of market (sic),” producer Diego Ramirez said to the magazine.
Ranveer and Anushka’s film, which went on to be an average grosser at the box office, was believed to have borrowed generously from Jesse Metcalfe’s 2006 Hollywood hit, John Tucker Must Die.
