As Salman Khan’s upcoming film, Bodyguard gets ready for release, the film’s think tank, including Salman, has come up with an interesting concept to promote the flick. The makers of the film are offering a chance to people to become the leading actors’ bodyguard for a day. As the cast and crew, mainly Salman and Kareena Kapoor, gets set for a multi-city tour to promote their film, the makers wish to take the concept of a ‘personal bodyguard’ to every town and city that Salman and Kareena will travel to.
Insiders from the unit inform that the idea is to give a chance to people to experience the life of a bodyguard. “Selected person, through an elaborate contest, will be like a shadow of Salman or Kareena in each city they travel. They will also get to know the inside details of the glamour world. For a layman, this would be a great opportunity to be with Salman or Kareena for the entire day,” says an insider.
Salman’s brother-in-law and Bodyguard co-producer confirms that they are travelling to around 15 cities in last week of August. “Both Salman and Kareena individually will be travelling and promoting the film. Every city they would visit will have a local bodyguard who would be their ‘personal bodyguard’ for the day. As a concept it is extremely enriching experience,” says Atul.
For the uninitiated, Salman plays Kareena’s character Divya’s bodyguard in the film. Since her character’s life is under threat, his job is to save and protect her. Bodyguard is being seen as the next big Eid release from Salman after two consecutive hits – Wanted (2009) and Dabangg (2010).
