Confirming reports about working in Yash Chopra’s untitled next, starring Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, Rishi Kapoor says, “I am leaving for London tonight. Neetu (wife Neetu Singh) will join me on June 25.

It was on her insistence I said yes to the project. We have been offered a lot of films after starring together in Habib Faisal’s Do Dooni Chaar (2010), which got rave reviews and even won a National Award. But nothing substantial has come up. This one also is a small role but we can’t say no to Yash Chopra”. The duo worked with Chopra in Kabhie Kabhie (1976) and share a warm relationship with his family.

When asked about their roles, both Rishi and Neetu remained tight-lipped. Neetu explains, “We are not at the liberty to talk about the role. All I can say is that it’s an important role and we are both excited to be a part of Yashji’s return to direction with his most favourite genre — romance. Like everyone else, we are awaiting his film.”

Rishi and Neetu have appeared in 12 films together and also did a cameo recently in Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal (2009). When asked why the duo isn’t doing more full-fledged project like Do Dooni Chaar, Neetu answers, “We don’t want to cash in on Do Dooni’s popularity and do another film for the heck of it.

I appreciate that the audience has loved our pairing and people want to see us together again. But, let me promise you that whenever we do a film together again, it will be worth the wait.” She adds, “The scripts that have come up so far aren’t exciting enough to devote my time to. I have to take care of my grandkids and family. Only if a script is sound enough will it push me to get out and act again.”
