In the latest dialogue promo of Dawid Dhawan's Main Tera Hero, starring Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri, Anupam Kher takes a potshot at Katrina Kaif's 'Hindi'. But Varun Dhawan defends the heroine.
Anupam Kher, who plays Ileana and Nargis' father in the comedy flick, tells Varun: "Tumhari harkatein, kutte ki dum, aur Katrina ki Hindi aisi hai ki kabhi seedhi ho hi nahi sakti (Your antics, dog's tail and Katrina's Hindi can never be set right)."
Dhawan however comes to the famous Bollywood actor's rescue (whose mother is English and father is a Kashmiri) by saying: "sir, aajkal uski Hindi achchi ho gayi hai. (But these days her Hindi has improved)."
This is not the first time a Bollywood film has taken a potshot at a film star.
In Kangana Ranaut's recent film Queen, she says in one of the scenes: "Indians her cheez mein best hote hain..Indians kissing mein bhi best hote hain..Emraan Hashmi ki pictures nahi dekhi hai kya. (Indians are best at everything. Indians are best at kissing too. Haven't you watched Emraan Hashmi's films?)"
In Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, when Imran Khan tries to sound romantic by saying - "Dil Deke Darde Mohabbat kiya hai, Soch samajh ke ye sauda kiya hai, O maine pyaar kiya hai, pyaar kiya hai, pyaar kiya hai.", Kareena Kapoor calls him Salman Khan.
In an upcoming film Ye Hai Bakrapur, the protagonist is a goat named Shahrukh. The director of the film, Janaki Vishwanathan, however says it has nothing to do with the superstar.
