After grabbing headlines with Munni Badnaam Hui (Dabangg, 2010), the hit actor-choreographer pair of Malaika Arora Khan and Farah Khan is back with the song, Anarkali Disco Chali for filmmaker Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.

While Farah is under extreme pressure for doing it differently, since comparisons are likely to be drawn with Munni..., Malaika is pretty sure that the song will be a chartbuster. “Munni... is iconic. So, I wouldn’t like to draw any comparisons and would request others to adhere to this policy.

But, at the same time, Anakali Disco Chali is superb. It’s sexier and more modern in its look and feel. Munni was desi and rustic,” argues Malaika, who has already shot the song.“Sajid-Wajid have created an excellent track. Farah has choreographed it really well. It has the entire male star cast of the film in it,” she adds.

Housefull 2 toplines a dozen male actors including Akshay Kumar, Shreyas Talpade, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Boman Irani. Zarine Khan, Asin Thottumkal, Shazahn Padamsee and Jacqueline Fernandez are the leading ladies.

Director Sajid Khan is understandably kicked about Malaika’s item number and is beaming ear-to-ear praising sister Farah for doing a great job. He agrees comparisons with Malaika’s Dabangg hit are bound to crop up, but insists, “Malaika and Farah have worked really hard on this song to make it a succes and I don’t think the comparisons will last long.”

Farah seconds her brother and Housefull 2’s director. The mother of triplets adds, “Malaika and I have a decent track record. We have done three songs together, and all of them have been successful. So, the pressure this time to deliver was high. I hope that this song also turns out to be a huge hit like our previous chart-toppers, ‘Chaiya chaiya... (Dil Se... 1997), Kaal dhamaal (Kaal, 2005), and ‘Munni badnaam hui....’ It will justify our hardwork.”
