The 2001 film Chhupa Rustam was Mamta Kulkarni’s last known film, before the mistress of spices disappeared mysteriously from Bollywood.

She resurfaced in Kenya in 2014, having changed completely from the way we remember her. Said to be in a relationship with underworld kingpin Vicky Goswami, Mamta shifted base to Nairobi where she was rumoured to be handling Goswami’s real estate business.

But, there was a time, not too long ago, when she ruled the roost in Bollywood and every filmmaker wanted a song with her in their film.
