Makers of Mausam showed solidarity to the victims of the New Delhi bomb blasts that took place on Wednesday, in a special way. The film’s team was set to take to the stage with a live performance at the JW Marriott hotel on Wednesday, but after the blast, the event was cancelled even though invites had been sent out.

The celebrations were planned because the makers of the Shahid and Sonam Kapoor-starrer were happy that the film’s music has done well. “Yes, we were to host the music success party with live performances, but due to the unfortunate bomb blast in Delhi, we have cancelled it. We can’t be celebrating on a day when such a sad incident has occurred in the country,” says the film’s official spokesperson.

Director Pankaj Kapur and actor-wife Supriya Pathak-Kapoor, who is also in the film, were expected at the event. Besides playback singers Mika Singh, Shahid Mallya, Hans Raj Hans, Tochi Raina and Karsan Das Sangitha, who have all sung for Mausam, Pankaj too was set to croon a number he has sung for the film.
