In thirty days, fifteen films will make their way to the box office. These small budget films will not just strive hard to grab eyeballs, because of their realatively unknown star cast, but will also compete with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Vikram Bhatt’s 3D suspense thriller, Haunted will be releasing along with Shraddha Kapoor’s (Shakti Kapoor's daughter) anti-romantic comedy, Love Ka The End.

On the second Friday of May, four films — Ekta Kapoor’s Ragini MMS, Tusshar Kapoor-starrer Luv U, Mr Kalakaar, Nana Patekar’s Shagird and Amole Gupte’s Stanley Ka Dabba — will be releasing. Ekta is very excited about Ragini MMS. “The films’ promos have got tremendous response and I hope it does well.”

Anurag Kashyap, who plays a gangster in Shagird and is also marketing Bhindi Baazaar Inc, says, “If there is substance in a product, big or small, nothing can stop its successful run.”

Bhindi Baazaar will share screen space with five other releases — Bol, Crackers, Happi, Kashmakash and Pyaar Ka Punchnama, on May 20. The month’s last friday has three releases, Kuch Luv Jaisa, Mumbai Cutting and Run Bhola Run, that release on May 27. But Tusshar Kapoor, who stars in Run Bhola Run, is unperturbed. “If the film is good, audience will watch it.”
