We interviewed Ranbir Kapoor with his Anjaani Anjaani co-star Priyanka Chopra, who just informed us that her first impression of Ranbir was far from nice.

Ranbir Kapoor gushes on and on about how much he enjoys being single

"Perception is very different from reality," says actor Ranbir Kapoor sagely. "I’m really glad her perception of me changed after we met. We have a great working relationship," says Ranbir.

And, what did he think about Priyanka at first? "Oh, she’s really grounded. She had no airs about being a bigger star than me at all."

The actor looks tired and fatigued. Is is due to the hectic promotional spree he’s been on or is there something up in his personal life? "All is well personally and professionally," he says. Preempting our next question, he quickly adds: "I’m loving my singlehood. Being in love was amazing, too. I’m not looking for love — if it happens, it happens."

He could be a poster boy for singledom — the amount he gushes about it. "Being single has its own charm. You get more time to be with yourself, hang out more with friends, play video games, be with your family… in short do silly boy stuff that you’re unable to do when in a relationship."

Barely three years of career and seven releases later, Ranbir is dreaming of venturing into direction soon. No prizes for guessing the lead actor. "I’d love to cast myself" he says.

Not because he’s the best, though. "Nobody will agree to do my film... that’s why!," he adds.

Still single, Priyanka Chopra has even stopped sporting her diamond ring
He’s 28, the scion of Bollywood’s Kapoor family, and a successful actor in his own right. No wonder, then, that actor Priyanka Chopra thought Ranbir Kapoor was “arrogant” before she met him. In town to promote their film, Anjaana Anjaani, Priyanka confesses that her first impression of Ranbir was not too flattering. “Thankfully, we hit it off pretty well later,” she says. So well, that the diva has even agreed to be a part of Ranbir’s world tour, which kicks off in 2011.

We notice that her 3 carat rock, which made headlines last month, is now missing from her finger. “There was such a big deal made out of it. So I thought… baap re let me take it off. Also it was too heavy and I was leaning towards my right while walking,” says Priyanka, laughing. Once again, she’s quick to dispel rumours about it being a gift from someone special. “It’ll happen when it has to. And, actually, I’m not looking for someone at the moment,” she says.<b2>

Inevitably, we ask about rumours of her dating actor Shahid Kapoor. Her reply? Predictable: “I never really speak about my personal life and don’t intend to either,” she signs off.
