All the actors woo Kareena Kapoor in the film, but on the sets of
, it was Mithun
(Chakraborthy) who was a hit among the cast members. Bored with the hotel food, he made special meals for the cast and taught the younger generation some of his trademark dance steps.
Tusshar Kapoor, who worked with the Disco King in
and plays his son Lucky in
, says, “He also taught us — Ajay (Devgan), Arshad (Warsi), Kunal (Khemu) and me — some of his trademark dance steps. His vibrancy just rubs on you."
Kunal Khemu, who plays Mithun’s son Laxman in the film, gorged on
that the veteran made in Hyderabad. “He makes the yummiest food. One day I went to sleep early due to my accident, he came
back to call me and made sure I ate the food he cooked. He was like a real father on the sets to all of us.” For Kapoor, Mithunda made special types of fish dishes and a bangla-style fish curry as well.
Shreyas Talpade says he was pleasantly surprised that Mithun
didn't just cook for the cast but for the crew as well: “I loved the pulao and pakoras he made,” he says.
Remembering conversations with the actor, Khemu says, “There was never a dull moment on the sets. Mithun
