Mubarakan box office: Arjun Kapoor film dips after super Sunday

Mubarakan, which stars Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles, has earned Rs 26.46 crore in four days at the box office.

After witnessing a whopping 101 per cent growth at the box office, Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan collections dipped on Monday. The film that stars Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz, has earned Rs 26.46 crore in four days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures. “#Mubarakan Fri 5.16 cr, Sat 7.38 cr, Sun 10.37 cr, Mon 3.55 cr. Total: 26.46 cr. India biz... Decline on Mon [vis-à-vis Fri]: 31.20%.,” he wrote.

The film that opened to Rs 5.16 crore earning on Friday, took a 101 per cent hike on Sunday, minting Rs 10.37 crore. It saw a 41 per cent growth on Saturday with its collection being Rs 7.38 crore .

The Arjun -Anil Kapoor starrer did not impress the critics and was widely panned except for Anil Kapoor’s performance.

The family entertainer revolves around a big fat Indian wedding mixed with a confusion of twins separated at birth to be cousins. With the double role played by Arjun Kapoor and supported by the power packed performance of Anil Kapoor, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Mubarakan is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde from Cine1 Studios is running successfully worldwide.

Arjun’s last movie, Half Girlfriend, had a good run at the box office over the first weekend, collecting Rs 32.04 crore. The film hit theatres on May 19 and starred Shraddha Kapoor opposite Arjun.
