She recently did her second television show after two years. Actor Mugdha Godse (left) says she is not willing to close doors to opportunities that come her way from the small screen.
“With due course of experience in the field of acting, I have realised that I have to be an actor first, and to be one, I must take up every job that interests me — be it films, television or theatre. I don’t want to restrict myself,” says the actor, who started her Bollywood career in 2008 with Fashion, and later went to do films such as Jail (2009), Heroine (2012), Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013). She made her debut on television as a contestant in the show Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2014.
“I am really happy that whatever I have done has given me good experience. I would like to explore TV more,” adds the actor.
The 29-year-old has mostly been part of ensemble-cast films. Asked if she wants to change that about her career, she has a clear answer. “No matter how many actors there are in the film, everyone stands on their own merit. Even if a film has 10 actors in the frame, a good actor will stand out. When you are doing an ensemble film, there is a lot of scope to show your creativity because you don’t have the burden and stress only on your shoulder,” says the actor, who will soon be seen in a film, which talks about the life of youths struggling in Mumbai.
