“The newer generation doesn’t want to do remakes. At least not my children. They want to do original work. Either they want to adapt books or make original screenplays,” says the actor.

Anil has two daughters — actor Sonam, producer Rhea and son Harshvardhan, who is yet to make his debut.

His production venture Aisha and his recently announced movie Herogiri are book adaptations, but the 52-year-old says that despite being inspired by literary works, both the scripts are original. “Both these films are original interpretations. Even Herogiri is adapted from a book, but the script is completely original.”
