At the recently concluded International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, Hollywood action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme mingled with many Bollywood stars. The actor of Expendables 2 (2012) fame was part of the event to look for fresh Indian faces for his next venture.

And it seems Neil Nitin Mukesh caught his eye. Now the Johnny Gaddar (2007) actor claims he’s been offered a film by Van Damme.

Says Neil, “He (Van Damme) met me in Macau and offered me a film. It was a big honour for me that he came up to me and spoke to me at length.” Ask him about details of the film and Neil says, “It is in initial stages and nothing is finalised yet."

In an earlier story (‘It will have all the spice of a Bollywood film: Jean-Claude Van Damme’, July 11) HT Café had reported that Van Damme is looking to shoot for a film in India soon. “It will be a fantasy love story, so there will be romance, action and all the spice of a Bollywood film.” he had said in the interview.
