Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh married Rukmini Sahay in a magical ceremony in Udaipur on Thursday. Spread over three days, beginning Tuesday, the much talked about wedding was nothing short of a royal affair. Family, friends and Bollywood celebs, such as Rishi Kapoor and Pamela Chopra, wife of late Yash Chopra, were in attendance. The videos from the wedding are out and they look stunning.
From the royal Rajasthani decor, the bride coming in a flower-bedecked modern palanquin (pushed by attendants), colourful fireworks, Neil’s naughty wink to his ‘girl’, their jaimala moment, to a beaming father Nitin Mukesh - the drone captured all high points of the wedding. Looking at it, one is almost reminded of Amar Chitra Katha references to a typical mythical vivaaha.
A second video is from their sangeet ceremony, the highlight of which is a small item done by Neil’s parents as well as the beautiful couple’s dance number. Also, seen in it are many of their family and friends celebrating the union.
The wedding celebrations began on Tuesday with the ring ceremony. Mehendi and sangeet functions were held on Wednesday, and the wedding took place on Thursday. The haldi, chuda chadai and the nuptial ceremony, followed by a family dinner and a cocktail party were also held on Thursday.
Neil Nitin met his fiancé Rukmini through his parents. The just-married couple returned to Mumbai on Saturday, alongwith his parents.
